Quality and Certification
We state quality the way it is: certification per product, lot-level tracking, and no claims we cannot back up.
Our approach
- Certification is a per-product fact, not a marketing word. Each product shows its current status — including “not certified” where that is the truth.
- Quality lives at lot level: every lot carries its harvest date, best-before date and quality status, and blocked lots never ship.
- Documents are shown only when they exist. Demo content is always labelled as demo.
What the certification statuses mean
- Not certified
- No organic certification is claimed for this product. It may be grown to organic practice, but there is no third-party verification.
- Under review
- A certification application is in progress. Until it is granted, the product is not sold as certified.
- Locally certified
- Certified by a Sri Lankan body for the domestic market. This does not automatically qualify the product for export markets.
- Export approved
- Certification and approvals cover the intended export markets.
- Certificate expired
- A previous certificate has lapsed and must be renewed before the product is sold as certified again.
- Blocked
- Certification is blocked, for example after a failed inspection. The product is not sold as certified.
- Manual review required
- The status needs manual clarification before any claim is made.
Lot pass In development
We are building a per-lot “pass”: one page per lot with origin, harvest date, quality checks and documents. It is not live yet — until it is, lot data is shown on the product pages and shared on request.
